Value-Added Auditing

Modern organizations are continuously scrutinized and must demonstrate the effectiveness of their operations and supply chains. DNV uses auditing techniques based on best practices, remote and virtual execution methods, and our proprietary Risk Based Certification® methodology to streamline a client’s management system and its ability to support business objectives.

This allows us to measure performance against selected standards and assess how well the management system supports identified areas of special interest. These areas are determined before each audit and should reflect relevant risks that need to be managed.

DNV combines different forms of certification without compromising the quality and effectiveness of the audit. For processes such as document review and audit interviews, a remote audit may be appropriate, while for more complex processes, an auditor must be sent on-site. Our risk-based approach, considering appropriate technological solutions, information sharing, and the complexity of the audited company, is used to determine the right balance between remote and on-site audits.
