Transport Technical Supervision (TDT) is an institution established to ensure the safety of technical devices and fuel vapor recovery systems. TDT carries out activities aimed at protecting public safety in these areas.

The main scope of TDT's activity includes tasks defined by the Technical Supervision Act. The TDT Laboratory in Kraków and the Conformity Assessment Unit support statutory activities, focusing on the safe operation of technical devices.

Within the Conformity Assessment Unit, the Certification Body is responsible for certifying products, management systems, and personnel competencies. This unit also includes Notified Body 1468, which participates in the conformity assessment processes of products with the requirements of European Union directives under the granted authorizations. Notified Body 1468 is one of the largest notified bodies of its kind in Europe.

TDT's statutory activities in the safe operation of technical devices are also supported by the TDT Academy – Training and Advisory Center, which provides training and consultancy in the field of technical device safety.
